“Sleigh bells ring—are you listening?”
Your wedding guests wave sleigh bells in the air as you and your spouse make your grand exit.
“In the lane, snow is glistening.”
Snow glitters around the terrace as you walk down the aisle to the man you love.

Your spouse twirls you in the air as glistening snow twinkles below your feet. The photographer snaps a photo as you throw your head back and laugh.
“Walkin’ in a winter wonderland.”
That’s how you could describe your winter wedding.
The majority of couples opt for a spring, early summer, or fall wedding. While all these seasons offer many perks such as warmer weather, blossoming flowers, and longer daylight hours, brides often neglect to seriously consider a winter wedding.
“But, it’s so cold,” you answer. True. But, the cold can totally be used to your advantage. Your makeup has a high chance of not running; you can experiment with cozy coverings to compliment your wedding dress; and your guests can enjoy a hot chocolate bar during cocktail hour. Also, a huge bonus is that you can take advantage of the low season venue pricing!
Winter weddings can be absolutely stunning. Host an outdoor ceremony in the early afternoon so you don’t have to worry about losing daylight, and your guests can be outside when it is warmest. Additionally, decorate your indoor reception with dried fruit, greenery, lots of candles, natural/artificial branches, and even pinecones for place card holders. Include ingredients for s’mores at the desert table, and substitute sparklers for handheld sleigh bells.
Additionally, host your wedding at a venue that has a fireplace, like Rosemont ;)! Nothing is cozier than having your first dance in front of a glowing hearth surrounded by your loved ones. You can even offer blankets as wedding favors!
