How to Plan a Rehearsal Dinner

Planning a rehearsal dinner may seem like just another stressful to-do on the wedding list. The good news is that the bride should not be planning the rehearsal dinner!

It is customary for the groom’s parents to plan and pay for the rehearsal dinner. If the groom’s parents are unable to do so for any reason, ask a close relative (other than your parents) or even a good friend if they would like to be in charge of hosting the rehearsal dinner.

A rehearsal dinner can be as simple and intimate as a cookout with your family and bridal party in your backyard to an elegant dinner at your favorite restaurant. There is no right or wrong way to plan your rehearsal dinner. You could even make your rehearsal dinner a movie night with pizza or popcorn! Celebrate with your loved ones and bridal party by watching your favorite romantic film, and relaxing together before the big day.
