Imagine the scene: Candlelit tables, adorned with reds, whites, and soft pinks, are carefully positioned in the Rosemont Room and Parlor. Each table has been meticulously dressed and set for two. A soft, silent snow falls outside, but no one frets because they are all safe and sound in the manor for the night. Music wafts throughout the rooms, and so does the aroma of Tona’s delicacies for the evening. After their elegant four-course meal, the guests will linger downstairs, chatting and making new friends before retiring to their rooms at Rosemont – perhaps the Eisenhower or Kennedy with the clawfoot tub or the Einstein or Norris with their double shower head (aka shower-for-two). Cap it all off with red velvet pancakes for breakfast the next morning and one last breath of fresh air on the Portico before you return to the reality of everyday life.
Could anything be more romantic?
This was how 12 couples spent their Valentine’s Day weekend with us at Rosemont! We were so fortunate that the weekend snow squalls waited until all 24 guests had arrived and everyone could relax and enjoy. Tona’s four-course menu consisted of: roasted red pepper soup, beets and blood oranges on mesclun greens with a balsamic reduction, Beef Wellington tartlets with roasted red potatoes and asparagus with lemon thyme butter, and chocolate crepes with strawberry creme and chocolate covered strawberries! (Is your mouth watering yet?) Needless to say, the meal received rave reviews and a lovely time was had by all!
We can hardly wait for Valentine’s Day next year! In the meantime, be sure to register for our next Dinner and Overnight Stay at Rosemont — a fun and festive St. Patrick’s Dinner on Friday, March 20th! Give us a call at 540-955-2834 to save your spot!
